People questioning the sudden appearance of this child implies that Owen or Claire have people in their lives, which seems to be something the writers forgot to include.

 

maybe claire and owen will reconcile and adopt maisie and all live down in that van by the river and surely not in his cabin.

 

The thing that gets me is that it shouldn’t be hard to write a smart Jurassic Park film. The first one and the less stupid half of the second are completely adequate in this regard. It’s a top 5 movie franchise in the world - the available talent is surely outrageous.

Chris Pratt, the set pieces, the prime blockbuster release window - none of these things require the movie to be dumb. So it is frustrating that we’ve gotten poorly written movies about dumb people making bad decisions.

I like both JWs for what they are and I’ll surely see this one again. It’s just strange that they aren’t better.

TLW and JP3 didn’t have them eating a bunch of rich white men. TLW had them eating pouchers and JP3 had them eating hired guns because a family was looking for their kid.

 

Not to mention people of color always end up dead/dino fodder in like every single film. The lone black man in JP III got maybe a couple lines and then as soon as they arrive to the island he crashes the plane into a tree and then gets brutally torn apart by the Spinosaur.

 

Plus Treverrow’s pride in specifically the brutal murder of a woman in JW

 

Movie is baddddd

Trevorrow is getting up there with Micheal Bay as my least favorite successful people in Hollywood

 

Movie was a piece of crap. Worse than I had already expected. Audience was terrible too.

 

My idiot coworker always tells people leaving the theater that there’s an after credits scene that they should stay for and I try convincing them it’s not worth it but they always watch it. They’re always disappointed.

 

What is it? I took off.

I loved this big stupid movie and I can't wait to see it again.

 

One of my co-workers asked “Does Blue die? Because I won’t see it if Blue does.”

Like what positive connection could anyone have to Blue? He’s an asshole dinosaur who saved Owen in the last movie because the climax needed a last-minute hero.

 

I felt like I had more of an emotional reaction to THE dinosaur death of this movie than I would for literally any character dying.

 

Going into this I didn't even remember Blue from the first JW.

 

I woulda been kinda upset if the TRex died though
