I was watching the first Jurassic World on my tablet because I was doing things throughout the house. I felt like just letting the credits roll til the end. It got to the end and went into deleted scenes. It has played the same deleted scene 10 times now, but when it starts the title keeps changing. So, for some reason, it keeps playing the same video instead of all the other bonus clips there are. I am tempted to just let it keep going and see if it ever ends or if it’ll loop forever.
Spielberg produced the Transformers movies too. I don't think he cares at all as long as he gets paid. If anything, the awful sequels make his films look better.
He’s definitely in the James Cameron/“Terminator” franchise mode with this. Except Cameron keeps on telling audiences that each subsequent “Terminator” is the one that will bring it back on track and Spielberg likely saw like one round of dailies of this or something and went back to whatever he’s directing without a word.
Didn't watch the last one because it looked stupid. This one dragged me in because the OG three were in it. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Fun time.
This was inoffensively mediocre, I thought. There's some fun dino action and funny line deliveries. Edward Scissorsaur was cool.
Fuck this was so bad, not sure if worse than Fallen Kingdom, but they’re at least tied and that’s bad enough
They made Ellie, the woman who shoved her hand into a pile of triceratops feces, grossed out by bugs?
I really really enjoyed the bits where they had the dinosaurs fucking things up for the rest of the world. Sucks that’s like, 15 minutes at most of this 2 1/2 hour movie. I was delighted by the amount of actual animatronics in this, was a nice surprise!
Yeah, so, first 45 minutes of this was truly very bad. The writing, the delivery, the editing, all of it. Hated the built-in Now This recap and was just so bummed that they were doing so little with what could be such a cool premise. Then the Malta(?) scene happened with the black market and raptor chases and that whole section is genuinely a high for the series. Just a blast and exactly what I want from these movies at this point. The locust shit didn't bother me at all, I felt like I got more than enough great dinosaur stuff in a variety of settings, a good amount of practical effects, even a jump scare. And then the final act kind of approached "so bad it's good" territory for me, especially with the fan service. Like I rolled my eyes, but I also didn't hate it. The Rise of Skywalker is a great point of reference, although general expectations were SO much lower going into this, it's hard to say I was "disappointed" or anything. So yeah. As expected, this was messy and not a good movie, but I generally had a lot of fun. It needed a better editor because it was definitely overstuffed. Also lol at Chris Pratt exchanging knowing glances with a fucking raptor. I don't care if he raised it, that shit is beyond parody.
I'd rank this below the first Jurassic World but still above Jurassic Park 3. JP TLW FK JW Dominion JP3
This was fine. A lot of dumb. But a lot of fun too. as far as ranking? JP Lost World Fallen Kingdom JP3 Dominion JW is what I'm feeling at the moment.
Eh. I found this enjoyable. Dumb and poorly written, but fun nonetheless. Jurassic Park Jurassic World The Lost World Dominion Fallen Kingdom Jurassic Park 3
JP3 is such trash. I haven’t seen it in years though. I wonder if it actually still ranks below these JW movies or not. Probably does. JP3 and TMNT3 are sooo fucking bad haha
I haven't seen them since they came out, but I remember enjoying JP3 more than Lost World. JP3 was dumb enjoyable fun and Lost World I remember them spending half the film dangling off a cliff. I'm tempted to rewatch them to see if what I remember holds up, but I probably won't.
Also we need to acknowledge that the shot of the horses galloping in slow mo alongside the dinos was majestic af
