I don't know, Camp Cretaceous got pretty ridiculous pretty quickly so that's what I'm going off of... CC spoilers: Mind control chips implanted in the dinosaurs, tablets that could "talk" to dinosaurs and read their emotions, drones creating forcefields that led to dinosaur fights, entire desert/forest/tundra biomes with cloaking features, super robots running around shooting laser blasts, creating hybrids out of two completely unrelated dinosaurs.... So nothing's really off limits, unfortunately, but as long as there's good dino action and some good scenes with the original cast, I'll be good.
It speaks to this series that most emotional moment was the dinosaur stuck on the island that watched Chris Pratt and company sail away. And might be a hot take but it should have been Blue that died because Blue sucks.
IMO that was the best part of the whole movie. It was like a slasher movie but instead of Michael Myers we had a made up dinosaur.
My favourite part of the new film is when the dinosaur looks dead at the camera like it's on The Office and says, "It's Morbin' Time"
Every stilted line Sam Neill delivers is like A) He’s thinks in a completely movie and/or B) His family is being held at gunpoint offscreen and he has to say each line so they can live.
adding to this, this exact line in this EXACT context would've made WAY more fucking sense coming from andy dwyer or peter quill than owen. i promise i'm not just saying this to talk shit
I can't understand how the premise is that dinosaurs roam free and coexist with humans and this movie somehow manages to make that painfully boring.
It’s almost comical how quickly it abandons that premise too and just becomes another dinosaur island movie.
I thought this was a lot better than Fallen Kingdom. Maybe my expectations were just lowered to the right level, but I had fun with it. There were a few callbacks that put a grin on my face. I loved all 4 of the OG actors. Didn’t expect Dodgson to look like he’s about to announce the latest iPhone.
