    cast:
Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, Nick Jonas, Rhys Darby, Morgan Turner, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Alex Wolff

against my better judgment I'm excited for this, Jake made Orange County and Walk Hard but also Bad Teacher and Sex Tape so it can go either way

Let's not act like the original Jumanji was anything more than silly fun. If this is silly fun it will be just fine.

It was. But it didn't look like it had zero respect for the intelligence of anyone watching it, which this definitely does.

All the problems with that trailer aside, I think the premise of the board game coming to life into the real world is far more interesting than transporting the characters into the jungle itself.

Do or do not, there is no try.

As a kid Jumanji at least had a sense of magic/mystery along with the the silly fun (at least for me as a kid). Cannot see this having that.. at all. This looks like a dumb, fun action movie - which is fine, but I think it's very fair to see a potential big difference in this and the original. I don't think anybody is claiming the original was a work of art or anything.

Oh, sorry! My bad for not reading everything. I didn't realise your comment was a reply, I thought it was just a general statement. "Blasphemy" is definitely way OTT.

  20. I was laughing pretty hard at Jack Black being the blonde girl. Haha. Everything else about it looks horrible.

First one was fun, but also the pacing and crescendo of it made it that much more amazing. Like how it started with gigantic Mosquitoes, then turned into a house cracking in two with water everywhere and gigantic spiders. Incredible. That plus Carl (the cop) was hilarious, and of course, Robin Williams as Alan Parrish.

I'll still see this because of my love of the first one, and it may be fun, but it just looks too full-on already packed with too much CGI and Kevin Hart doing his high-pitched scream for easy laughs. But yes, looks to be in the same league as the 'Journey To The Centre Of The Earth' films and 'Goosebumps' for me.

Well I mean it gets points for taking it in a different direction? Instead of a straight remake?

So do they have to beat the video game or what...the trailer wasn't really clear on that. They were all just doing action comedy stunts.

It makes me laugh when anyone I know gets bent out of shape about this movie because the first one is a 'classic.' Take your nostalgia glasses off, please. It was fun when I was 12, but it's your basic kids movie. Same with Hook. Man, that movie does not hold up.
