I would love to hear a full band cover of Rejoice from Thrice. Seems the most fitting, though Blacktop does work as wrll

 

Saw her in Berlin yesterday, I was floored the whole time! Grabbed the 7 inch after the set for a good price, and got a chance to talk to Julien for a moment - I even asked her if she had stumbled upon those Dustin and Jesse's covers of hers hehh. She played 2 new songs (Turn Out The Lights, and before it there was another one, which isn't on youtube yet I guess, it was very very good), plus a cover of Doesn't Remind Me by Audioslave, which to my mind was much better than the original (though it's cool shed used this song, without even introducing the artist as well, just paying some homage), it was a really well crafted set list... And today I'm freaking dead, already at work after driving a hell lot back and forth : ) totally worth it!

 

What did she say about the Jesse / Dustin stuff?

 

I wasn't sure if I got it right, but she said that she was there when Dustin played it and it was great, and then I just said that there's like a Brand New cover as well, and she was just kind of letting me know that she's heard it and that it's exciting hahh ;D I guess I made more comments about that than she did herself haha

 

Can't believe I missed Red Door when it was posted a couple weeks back. Damn, that is a great song. Really stepping up the guitar game too.

 

Damn, for some reason I stopped getting notifications on this thread so I missed out on Red Door when it was posted here. What an amazing song. Really stepped up her guitar game. This album is gonna rule.

EDIT: I didnt even read the comment above mine, but now I see that we've said pretty much the exact same thing hahaha.

 

She is playing in Utah in August at a tiny little venue with Luray! I'm so excited!

Seems like some new tour dates are popping up as well.

Actually it may just have been a show that got added during her dates in August. But I can still believe! It'd definitely make sense to announce the record before she goes and plays shows with Belle and Sebastian, Cold War Kids, and Ben Folds.

ive seen a poster with north american tour dates in nov/dec with half waif. is this new or already been announced and i am very behind?

 

I think that may be new because she currently does not have any North American dates announced during those months.

If the tour is with Half Waif I don't even know what I'll do with myself.

I would love to see a Paramore headlining tour with PVRIS and Julien Baker opening. One day hopefully Both are opening for one off Paramore shows but a full tour with all 3 of them would be a dream tour

 

An announcement at noon would make sense. I'm a writing tutor, and I'm about to start a session with a student, so I really hope they don't notice my frantic excitement lol.
