I'm not even religious, but damn if "Rejoice" doesn't make me feel some kinda way.

 

I've probably said this a million times, but Funeral Pyre is just never fails to amaze me.

And it's true
There's nothing that we could do

That line gets me every fucking time.

 

After watching her Audiotree performance, I'm now fully sold on her as an artist and human being. Getting a ticket to her Minnesota show in August

Ending of the new song is crushing.

 

Distant Solar Systems is probably the best song I'll hear this year.

 

What if she gives us 8-10 more?

The two songs she's put out makes me physically ache for a second record.

 

I was going to add on unless she puts out another record this year, decided to keep the post simple.

 

I'm pretty sure she recorded a lot of songs when she went in the studio for Funeral Pyre/Distant Solar Systems, and I'd imagine her label will want her to get a new record out this year. I'd be pretty surprised if we don't get one.

I'm a Christian and "Rejoice" brings me to tears. It's such a complicated emotion she expresses at the end of the song (something like "defiant joy") and it's unbelievably beautiful. Reminds me that even my worst days have purpose.
