WOW that is soooo rad for her

 

This Brand New band is going to blow up after this can't believe the queen allowed them to cover one of her treasures

 

I'm imagining Brand New covering Beyoncé and it's weird.

 

I remember seeing Sorority Noise cover her a few months ago and most people knew it. Made me happy.

 

I mean obviously now Julien has to repay the favor and cover Brand New.

 

I'm actually surprised she hasn't yet.

+1 for Everybody Does but Funeral Pyre is my favorite song of hers by far at this point

Go Home for me, quite possibly the most heart-wrenching song I've ever heard.

 

I see her getting Elliot Smith or Death Cab size which is to say lots of indie respect but huge draws and crowds anyway which will be cool to see. I saw her last night, and let me tell you, she might be the saddest person on the planet, it is like a goddamn sonic blanket of sad. There were more than a few tears in the crowd and I had literally never seen that before. I almost cried watching her, it was unreal. She's so expressive both vocally and facially it's like she puts herself in the moments in her songs when she's performing them. It felt intrusive sometimes to be watching her tbh. Which is to say she's an incredible artist.
Also she played one of her new songs, someone shouted "Record that!" and she said "I did." and then, "...whoops. Uh. Dang." so yeah new record next year seems very very likely

 

also the whole album is the best song, can confirm after the show

 

If her next record gets the right kind of push and marketing, she could blow the hell up. I hope she does.

 

She'd probably need a bigger label if that were to happen with the next release

 

My roommates band had their EP release show a year ago and I totally forgot about this. This was maybe a week after Sprained Ankle was released.

Crazy.

 

I believe she's on 4AD now

 

She played a song last night with a repeating lyric, "you're my bastard child."

Probably my favorite song from her now. It blew me away.
