She notes Dear Love: A Beautiful Discord by TDWP in her audiotree session. That’s when I really became a fan of hers.
Yup i remember. i always felt growing up my music taste was quite odd as i liked "scene" music all the way into some weird obscure mellow indie stuff but i feel like she was the same. its apparent to me and its really cool.
I remember listening to one of their songs way back in the MySpace days haha. Couldn’t tell you which one it was but I liked it back then.
They had one song in particular called Giants in the Ocean that made its around MySpace a bit I believe. Same diff.
I was literally just playing Sky Eats Airplane's self-titled for the first time in forever on the way to a show last night. Found them on myspace back in the day haha.

I don’t know how I used to stand through bills that large in high school. I once went to a twelve hour long “fest” in a banquet hall and had a blast. That sounds like a nightmare to me now, two band bills are a blessing.
Yo someone mentioned a thesis. hit me with more Julien news. also she likes Keep You by Pianos Become the Teeth and that's one of my favorite albums ever
2 things. 1. That Tiny Desk was incredible, and I think my favorite part of a new Julien Baker record cycle is that we get all these new live videos 2. Wasnt the singer for Sky Eats Airplane in Of Mice & Men for a quick second when Austin got kicked out?
Yeah although he wasn't their first vocalist. There was another guy in the band as they were starting out, then before they got signed or before the album got recorded the lineup changed
I used to love the Sky Eats Airplanes s/t. I bet it still rips. I keep trying to guess the promo code to buy tickets to the Northampton show
Man I loved the self titled SEA album. I saw them at Warped in 08 I think, I nearly passed out from the heat, and I distinctly remember neo-nazis in the pit ruining everything by starting a fight. I later saw them headline, and it made up for the prior time. Haven't listened to them since though, and I probably won't, something about that whole metalcore thing doesn't speak to me anymore.
