She was wonderful tonight. Amazing powerful voice. She acted kind of shocked we sung every word back at her
ugh why'd they put some rando infront of that gorgeous telecaster I play the same exact guitar as her
Honestly no one would've said anything if Julien wasn't queer which isn't to say that objectification's okay, but rather that the primary issue here is less objectification and more the default assumption that everyone is straight
Would suggest considering how insensitive it comes across when you as a man make a comment like that about a queer artist (if you assumed she was straight, that's on you) and also I guess don't say things about people that you wouldn't say to them
Seeing her tonight at Union Chapel and then tomorrow midday at Banquet Records. Going to be a good 24 hours.
Tonight is the night! First time seeing Julien since the album dropped, and second seeing her in church. Excited is an understatement! @RyanRyan I too will also be at the Banquet in store hope you have a good time!
Yeah she seemed really sincere with excitement about it. She didn't have to sing the end of Everybody Does, or Turn Out the Lights and it seemed to mean a lot to her. She was really funny too. During Funeral Pyre, instead of "Cause it's what you needed so bad" people sang "Cause it's what you needed so badly" and she thought it was hilarious. It kept coming up through the set.
Hey family I promise to have a Julien Baker review for you early next week If I don’t have a review up by Monday you can all decide collectively on an embarrassing avatar for myself Thank you.
I thought this was cool. This is a video I found from the first time I saw Julien of her playing Claws In Your Back. The show was in September, 2016. This means I unknowingly saw that song live 3 times before the album came out, which is really really awesome.
