Finally listening to this song, and it rules. Love hearing Julien Baker on a track like this, and love the two voices together. Assuming a proper full length drops by the time weather gets warm… I might already have a tentative album of 2025 penciled in, lol.

 

I like this a lot but it feels much more like a Julien baker song than a collaboration to me hah

 

I watched some of the clips from the Mercury Lounge show and while this song is definitely on the Julien-led side, there’s definitely a mix of that, Torres-led songs, and songs where it’s equal between the two of them. So definitely a mix (although I didn’t listen to every new song just a few briefly)

I was unfamiliar with Torres before the rumors last year or earlier this year when they started, but I'm all for this after becoming more familiar with her discography.

The song has been on repeat since it was released.

 

Apologies for bumping with no concrete dates but someone on the Julien discord today said back at the Mercury Lounge show Julien was asked when the album is coming out and she started to say January before realizing and pivoted to saying “soon”

She likely meant January for album announcement so we should be getting an announcement this month (and I feel like next week is going to be a big week for announcements, Japanese Breakfast and Blondshell are dropping new album announcements)

 

part of me hopes it's just a surprise full album drop but I'll gladly take an announcement within the month

 

The TikTok account just posted, seems like an announcement is fairly imminent

His pronunciation is the best part. Have to appreciate his effort

 

The music video prmieres in about 13 minutes and the video link is now privated, so perhaps something more is coming they are editing? (I haven't seen anything saying the premiere has been postponed or anything)

 

So bizarre, the video is still privated and we are past the time it was supposed to premiere. I would totally understand if they postponed because of the fires (Julien lives in LA) but I have not seen any heads up/posts announcing a postponement. I hope everything is okay!

Sounds like album and/or tour announcement coming soon, if Julien saying the announcement is in January at the Mercury Lounge is true then it will be this coming week. January 27 will be two months out exactly until their first festival so things should be rolling ASAP.
