If anyone is planning on attending Big Ears, they announced the day lineups and that Julien + Torres will be performing on Saturday alongside Waxahatchee!

Where album

 

We should be getting an announcement soon? Big Ears which is the first festival they are playing is happening in March so I imagine the album will be out before then? I have no doubts this album is going to be great because Julien and Torres are great on their own but I do wish we had an album announcement and lead single now. Announcing performances before having any recorded music out can be a big ask. Considering Torres was telling people about this album back in 2022 and said we could tell whoever we wanted, it’s been a loooooong wait and it’s be nice to not wait much longer.

The Kilby lineup is officially out tomorrow (Vagabon posted it early) so maybe we get an official album announcement tomorrow alongside the Kilby lineup?

They will be on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday! So Tuesday seems to be when we will be getting the album announcement!

Plus I feel like they will want single/album news out before Fallon tonight? We will see!

 

I’m in the Julien discord and a couple people have already gone to NBC’s studios and are in the standby line for tonight and said they’ll report back with any info after the taping if they get in. So if we don’t hear anything this morning we at least will in the afternoon. When BOCC debuted it was on Colbert’s show and we got the single and all other info right after so that may be the case here.

Yeah and now the likelihood is that Jimmy will announce the album because he always holds up albums when introducing a band on his show and does “Performing blah blah blah song from blah blah blah album here is blah blah blah artist”

 

Did anyone else get a message for “tickets set aside just for you” on Ticketmaster? It sold out anyway (and I have a broken foot so I can’t go lol) but I’ve never seen that before.

This is all from JB fans who were in the audience The song they played is called “Sugar in the Tank” which is what was teased on their website. They came out on stage in western suits and bolo ties. No mention of the album but Jimmy held up single art so it seems like the song will be out tonight/tomorrow
