She does! I’m happy! They do a good job of going half and half.

 

I was listening to this on the way to work this morning and yeah I really like it on first listen and I really hope they do a UK headline tour on this album cycle *fingers crossed*

 

I liked this. The few songs released after Sugar in the Tank didn’t really do much for me but enjoyed this on first listen

 

It’s the kind of thing where they’ll play a date or two in London and nothing else I reckon. Hope I’m wrong.

i took a break from sugar in the tank and man did i miss it

 

loved sugar in the tank, was meh on the other singles, but have really been enjoying the album this morning. only marble and no desert flower really stood out. i wasn't familiar with torres before this but i will have to check her stuff out.

 

Excited to listen. The rollout felt interminable

 

Ideally I hope they do a full UK tour.. hopefully they play Birmingham or Wolverhampton because it's nearer to where I live but if they do just a London show then I'll go but depending on my schedule because I am really busy with work, the other gigs I got coming up and family stuff.

 

i thought this was totally charming. it made me smile so much

 

All her albums are really good but my faves are Sprinter, Three Futures, and Thirstier.

I only listened to Dirt.

holy fuck it’s so gooooooood

 

The whole album is really good but Dirt is probably still my favorite, such a great tune. Sugar in the Tank will also never get old even though I’ve heard it for the longest.

Very pleased with this entire album!

 

This is pretty good. Downhill Both Ways is a standout on first listen.

 

Gets a little spotty after that track though, or at least that’s my first impression.

Yeah the pitchfork review does a good job at summing up my feelings. There are a lot of cool elements here and songs I enjoy (more a Julien fan than Torres going into it), but some aesthetic things that I wasn’t huge on. But very much appreciated them taking the swing and hitting where they did

 

I thought this was fantastic. Only one song on here that I didn't like, and it was one of the pre-release songs so I already knew, but everything else is great.

 

Finally gave a full spin. Fantastic. Bottom of a Bottle is my favorite upon first listen.
