I’ve still never seen her :(

 

I have seen her live.. but as a member of boygenius but never on her own so I gotta wait till November to see her live in london

 

I've seen Julien twice and boygenius twice, so next month will be my fifth time seeing her overall. Before she added another LA date I was telling my friend how frustrated I was that I couldn't get tix, but when I told him I'd already seen her a few times already he called me greedy haha...

 

I've seen Julien and Lucy but not Phoebe yet haha, Julien was opening for Angel Olsen and Lucy was opening for Bright Eyes

 

I have seen Phoebe live once when she played in Birmingham at the O2 academy.. at the main room which is 3,000 cap venue and it was unreal but Lucy I had not seen live yet

 

Oh, I've seen Phoebe with boygenius twice and with BOCC once, plus that one time she popped up randomly to sing a song with Soccer Mommy. I guess I haven't seen Phoebe solo yet technically. I have seen Lucy solo three times, tho

i have seen julien 12 times. lmao. the first show i went to was maybe a year after sprained ankle came out and the most recent was the wild hearts tour.

 

I’ve only seen Phoebe open for Taylor and I saw boygenius on their last tour. I still hope I can eventually get to see them at their own shows. I had tickets to see Julien around the time Sprained Ankle came out I think, but I had the flu and gave my tickets away. I also had tickets to see Phoebe on The 1975’s tour then covid stole it all away from me.

 

my tickets for the tuesday chicago show just got delivered and they say “special guest” instead of listing an opener. curious who it’ll end up being.

 

That’s how the Monday tickets were delivered, too.

 

The company producing the merch for this tour has been teasing various items

 

Also re: opener

When Julien did a thing with NPR Tiny Desk a little bit ago she was sitting in front of a white board that had what appears to be the words “Fall support” and under it was two names with an arrow pointing to a third empty spot.

The first name looks to possibly be Allegra Krieger but the second name isn’t easily to identify



but that could be completely unrelated, just something people noticed back then

 

But what about “live record?” sitting right there!

Other people on this thread have mentioned how many times they have seen Julien, Phoebe and Lucy live at their own shows and the boys live.. so how many times have u seen Julien, Phoebe and Lucy live on their own and boygenius live?

 

I’ve seen Phoebe twice solo, three times with boygenius, and twice with BOCC. Julien I’ve seen technically six times solo but one time I missed most of the show because of a delayed flight so I don’t really count that one, and three times with boygenius and Lucy I have seen four times solo and three times with boygenius.

Okay so the fact that they are keeping the opener a secret this long when the first show is literally in three days makes me think it actually is someone notable/big because otherwise why would you keep it a secret this long?

 

Who am I seeing next week in Chicago? I’ll be at all 3 shows.

 

Honestly for the London shows I would like to see the opening acts for each night be an different act and be kept a secret until the moment the opening act arrives onstage and starts performing, keep things fresh and exciting every night

 

Katie Malco is one of the openers. She’s playing 3 “mystery” shows in Chicago next week on the same dates.
