I love mental math but I get why she left it off little oblivions—repeat and highlight reel have similar vibes
Seeing her at the Ryman was a fucking treat. The Wild Hearts Tour is something special. Get to it if you don't have tickets yet.
Yeah that was my 11th Julien show and it was the best she’s ever sounded. She’s a force to be reckoned with.
Interesting that at the time of Boygenius's release Julian was the bigger of the three, headlining bigger venues and closing each night of their triple bill tour. Not sure why Little Oblivions didn't take off and kinda killed her momentum. I thought the album was fantastic.
I'd say I love all three albums about equally, albeit in very different ways. I probably listen to Little Oblivions front-to-back the most frequently though
i agree with the take on her albums but that’s besides the point? the point of the actual tweet is pretty indisputable, it’s odd that a side project is listed as the top song for a solo artist, especially when that song is sung by someone else in the project
Fans of Julien and similar artists should check out the new Florist record that dropped this past week, it's incredibly beautiful and I think lots of people who like Julien would be into it Florist - Florist (July 29, 2022) • forum.chorus.fm
I wouldn't say anything has killed her momentum, she's doing great and growing bigger/expanding in sound etc., but maybe isn't necessarily up to reaching some tremendous stardom - to me she's a bit of a different kind of an artist, which is perfect too!
That’s awful. I had a great time at Fleet Foxes there last week and have Lake Street Dive this weekend
