Not sure about that. I think it depends on how much more attention she gets with this release to get a sense of if SNL is possible. I don’t know exactly how they book musical guests but it seems to be either a) An already popular pop/rap/country/rock star, an older musician a la Bruce Springsteen, or someone who has blown up like Phoebe, but it would definitely be super cool to see her on the SNL stage.

I think it’s pretty fair to say she’s gonna get pretty big with this one

 

I wouldn’t bank on her getting much larger based on press, at least. She did an absolutely ridiculous amount of press last time, this is honestly not that much relative to TOTL.

 

I feel like the ceiling is always higher for a singer with a band than with just a piano or a guitar

 

I feel like there’s been quite a bit of press, and I imagine there will be a lot more once the album drops

 

To be fair, I was surprised and excited when I clicked on one of the interviews above that was for a UK newspaper. Unexpected to say the least.

Is it out there? I’m curious to give it a listen. Her last release leveled me and I was obsessed. The new stuff full band hasn’t really hooked me but I figure I’ll give the thing in it’s entirety a listen and see if the whole body of work sways me.

 

Any one who ordered the 6131 pressing get theirs yet? I saw some one on her story have it but I didn’t know if they went out with out shipping emails

 

Mine hasn’t shown up yet, but I’m also in Texas and haven’t gotten mail this week until yesterday. Might be backed up

 

If they ship Fedex, I had a package due last Monday that's now being held in Texas until March 4th due to the storms, so packages are definitely getting backed up in general

All signs are pointing to this being the album of the year and getting a crap ton of high praise huh?

 

Big mad I never preordered this and it isn’t coming early. I guess I can wait like 5 more days or whatever.
