Juana Molina - Halo (May 5, 2017)

Surprised there hasn't been a thread for this yet. It's mesmerizing, and one of the best albums I've heard this year.

 

This is awesome and creepy in the best way, but I would listen to this way more if it were released in the Fall.

Edit: It's my first listen. Reminds me a lot of Radiohead.

 

Some of it reminds me of a more satisfying The Eraser, haha

 

Definitely see that. Cosoco is an early fav

 

Mine is probably calculos y oraculos. It's just so quietly haunting and beautiful. I usually replay it a few times before listening to the rest. I really need to check out this woman's past work!

 

That one reminds me of Takk-era Sigur Ros

 

Definitely on my list to check out.

 

Wow this gets better as it goes on, gets progressively less creepy and brighter. I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Yup! I think that's my favorite thing about it. It's both haunting and playful and imo there's not a bad song on it. Glad you enjoyed!!!
