Besides Joyce Manor and Hop Along there's Jeff Rosenstock, Converge, Against Me, Mountain Goats, Bear Hands and one more that I can't make out.

 

I guess this is the kick in the ass I need to listen to Converge. love the mountain goats and enjoy the one Against Me! album I've listened. never heard of Bear Hands tho, will check them out too

yeah, theyre both big blind spots for me. ive listened to one Converge album pre Jane Doe, not sure which one tho. they've been on my list for a while but some bands seem like such institutions that you feel like you have forever to get into them. I got into Against Me with Transgender Dysphoria Blues and then I never went backwards and forgot to check out the latest one. feel like that whole Gainesville punk scene would've been extremely my shit a while back but we'll see how I like them now. I did download axl rose not long ago so this is timely and I'll bump all this up

 

Yeah that’s how I am with so many bands. And then it’s just intimidating to try to start listening to them because they have like a million albums. I’ll echo what was said about all we love we leave behind, tho. Definitely my favorite converge release. Against me pre new wave and post are pretty different, but I will say if you don’t listen to white crosses yr missing one of the best punk albums of the decade!!!!!

 

me with anyone who has more than like five albums. will check it, been getting better lately at just diving into shit so I'll just start with the ones you've mentioned.

The drummer of Spraynard (r.i.p.) is now their drummer so I'm a fan now. Never checked them out though, and suggestions as to where to start?

 

all their records are great and it's an hour of music pretty much but never hungover again is their best

 

never hungover again, hands down. top 3 record of all time.
