Asked the guys about bowling, the new album, and reports of roving teens on e-bikes in LA: Joyce Manor: Holy shit, it's bigger than ever

 

Rich kids with e-bikes are a genuine scourge everywhere it seems.

 

In the country where I live teens on fatbikes (cooler looking e-bikes) has become like a Satanic panic

 

There just aren't many better ways to open an album than how they do it here

 

same with the closer. i think it was already said but opossum and grey guitar are skyrocketing into my favorite songs they’ve ever written. i think this will end up clearing 40 oz pretty easily for me.

 

I think it clears all but NHA and S/T pretty easily for me

 

I’ve listened to and enjoyed JM stuff before but this is the first album of their I really love. Going to try to go back and listen to their other albums soon

 

Del Paxton also has a good song about a freight train

 

i've listened to this at least once a day since it came out. i love all their records, but i really think this one sustains the highs throughout in a way they haven't pulled off since NHA and maybe Cody. just an absolute heater from start to finish.

God this album fucking rules so much. The Bandsplain interview is a really solid listen too! Need to hear the longer and fast version of Constant Headache Barry refers to in it.

Technically single came out last year I think but if I’m counting it on album release date gotta be front runner for my song of the year so far

 

Yeah, this has been on repeat since it came out. Listen to it at least once a day.

 

I think this may be my favorite Joyce album now. Def my fav of the year so far.

I’m glad I didn’t listen to any singles because I can’t get enough of “All My Friends Are So Depressed.”

 

That song did literally nothing for me when it dropped but I sure do love it now

 

yeah this album is moving up the rankings FAST. I can’t stop listening to it and I’m really excited to see them again next month.

I was putting off listening to this because I'll be out of town for their Chicago show, and I knew that if I liked it I would be bummed that I couldn't go. But I finally caved the other day and that was a huge mistake cuz this shit rocks.

 

still listening to this almost every day gang.

 

Seeing them on Monday. Looks like they're playing 8 of 9 songs off the new album which is awesome.

 

Had never really spent much time on the band before, but have been absolutely loving this. Their stuff being so insanely short also makes digging into the back catalog far less daunting.
