yeah that record has some magic only not perfect song on there is heart tattoo and at least that song is super fun
S/T is my favorite but I think just for nostalgic purposes. NHA and Cody are on the same level for me and probably equally their best. I also think Of All Things is perfect though.
I used to think the weak link on NHA was Victoria but I've since come around to realizing I'm wrong. Falling in Love Again competes with Violent Inside for their best pop song
After the two I mentioned it might be See How Tame I Can Be but Bride of Usher is up there. Over Before it Began is also stellar
Reference convos a few pages back Glassjaw is better than ATDI. Worship and Tribute is the finest record of either bands catalogues. NHA is best JM album. Last You Heard of Me is best JM song.
Initially I thought NHA was better than Cody, but not by much. Now I really can't tell and I'm ok with that.
I feel that in a lot of ways, a lot of the songwriting that they tend to do without the heavy workshopping definitely shows it. NHA was like their 24hrt in my mind
theres a theory about it being about fake IDs but idk honestly i think its about having a brief romantic encounter only to realize you really have nothing in common. it reminds me a lot of "She Doesnt Get It" by The Format in that sense
the "breaking my heart going window shopping" line makes me think of like, oh we're hanging out and im now realizing how much i dont like doing stuff with you. or something. idk its kinda cryptic and even Barry has said it toes the line of idiotic and profound.
oh god mine too, that album still resonates so strongly with me. I've loved everything nates done but yeah that album and song is probably my favorite of his
I probably prefer "Oceans" by a nose but it's 1A and 1B. Never got to see them when they were around so I'm dyin' for a reunion.
