Just found out about this band the other day and I want to say, this album rules. Been listening to it non stop since

 

I wish I could just find out about this band so I could listen to all of them for the first time again, but it's cool, i like listening to each of them for the umpteenth time too

 

finally listened to Cody - it was real good, but NHA continues to be my favorite

maybe time will change that, but I doubt it

 

I think their next album will be really interesting now that they know how to extend their songs a bit. Not like they'll be reinventing the wheel, but just in seeing how the balance tips in terms of song structure

 

hope they get fuckin dirty next album.

there isn't a thread for them, but this discussion came up when they opened for joyce. looks like those rumors that were going around were very true

 

yeah i heard about it from someone from grand rapids about five years ago. gross

 

I remember hearing about it, but it was weird because I don't think i saw anyone say it happened to them only people saying they heard about it. I might be misremembering the thread though. glad they're gone

I never cared for that band at all and now I'm very glad I didn't. "He's a fucking piece of shit" is putting it lightly

 

I'm pretty horrified that it turned out to be true. Makes me like, actually sick that I have supported it in the past. It's easy to ignore this stuff when you don't care about the band at all. But like, I booked him for a show once. This is a much more personal than I've had to deal with before regarding art/artist.

 

I have no idea what's going on. What does that FB post allude to?

On a completely unrelated note the opening riff on Eighteen is my favorite JM moment.

 

Every time the drums and bass come in its like an uncontrollable explosion of joy.

 

i did for a quite minute haha

 

Over Before It Began is such an under appreciated song on both this album and in their discography.

 

^Barry's called it his favorite on the album a few times and a favorite overall up there with Christmas Card and Constant Headache and it seemed like a lot of people agreed so not that underappreciated it seems
