I don't know if I've ever loved a Joyce manor album on first listen but I definitely love this one

 

Last You Heard From Me is so effortlessly infectious. When the drums come back in for the final few repetitions of the titular lyrics...

 

This is a special album, not a single bad song on here. Came out of nowhere (for me) and shot right to the top of my AOTY list

But yeaaaah,this is easily one of my favorites this year. I'm not gonna do an AOTY list tho because I'd lose my mind trying lol.

 

As always, I love this thing but I have one quip: it's too damn short! Ha. I also think the production is a little bit better on the last record, but overall the songs are better on this one. NHA and Cody are two of the best "pop punk" albums in long time.

 

Yeah this is the first time I think short lengths don't fit these songs. I wanna hear that chorus again in Fake ID, you know?

 

I actually think this album and most of the songs themselves sound extremely long lol. But I think I'm just used to the <2 minute Joyce manor of old.

 

I don't have any sort of order at the top, just a general mish-mosh of albums I feel belong there. But it's up there.

 

This is actually the first time the length of a JM album feels perfect to me. Might just be honeymooning tho.

Gotcha! I have, like, a set-in-stone absolute favorite usually almost every year (which definitely goes to The 1975 this year), but then the rest is harder for me to rank.

 

I'm absolutely loving this album. However, some of the lyrics are embarrassing...particularly the opening track.

 

I think it's just some humor worked in

 

I can feel that.

Seriously though the rest of the album is incredible.

*hyperbole alert* This is some of the best garage rock I've heard since Pinkerton.

 

I think the opener is hilarious

 

I'm on board with it until the rhyming of sad & rad which really bothers me for some reason. Just seems so forced.

 

tbh i think its the opposite of forced since those words so easily rhyme together. its not a great rhyme scheme but i get it in the context of the lyric. like, he's just thinking about a friend who died but in simple terms

 

My mom likes this album a lot

 

I am seeing this band with my mom in a few weeks on my 24th birthday because none of my friends wanted to go with me. I hope she feels the same way lol.

 

I love this record, I can't get enough. I think "Last You Heard Of Me" is my favorite

 

Everything on here is my favorite except make me dumb, which is my second favorite
