Stairs is so good and fleshed out it makes me want, dare I say, more long Joyce Manor songs. I like that they are very reserved and don't stretch out songs at all, but damn, when they have a longer thought it's always where they shine.
just got my download. Eighteen and Make Me Dumb are immediate standouts apart from the singles. and Reversing Machine is one of the songs they're playing on tour
The only problem with eighteen is that the chorus is stupidly catchy but only appears in the song once which means I have to listen to it on repeat over and over again I say problem but it's not really one
I'm loving this record, maybe in part because it fills a void of infectious pop rock I haven't gotten much of this year.
Well this unsurprisingly great. I need to listen again to soak everything in, but Eighteen, Make Me Dumb, and the last three songs were my standouts going through the first time. And the two singles.
Through one listen "Last You Heard of Me" is still the highlight, that song is a career highlight though, amazing. Love "Fake ID", "Eighteen", "Make Me Dumb" and "Stairs"
Comparing Kanye West to phil Hartman and John Steinbeck is like comparing apples to car batteries to sunshine.
Just finished my first listen through. This is so infectious. I'll be jamming this a lot today. Stairs is my favorite on first listen.
