    Damn Mahs Joint is really something else is particular, the last two minutes. When you realize how many of those sounds are his voice, not other instruments is insane

    Sad this album hasnt caught on yet. Went through a discog listen over the weekend and GSP is such a massive songwriting leap

    Yeah, on his story yesterday there was a clip saying that through the mixing/mastering process it ended up getting 6 cents formant shifted and everyone in the room thought it gave it an awesome, warmer sound so they kept it that way.

    Right!! I remember seeing that, thought he was just talking about the bass line. Love that he uses the low end to drive songs, not in a typical “pop funk” way either

    I think the bass line he mentioned was front and center of the mix as if it was a Vocal Track, which is also unique/cool. They left that as is, too.
