I liked this movie. I don't understand the blowback

 

not really worth rehashing after roughly two years. the most impressive trick it pulled was galvanizing enough people to think anything about it was worthy of any major discussion

 

I think there's more discussion about how much people hate it than the opposite.

 

Yeah, I thought the movie was a decent 3/5 but the holier-than-thou backlash is pretty puzzling. Sure, the movie is not super deep or anything and it has its flaws, but I definitely enjoyed it more than I thought I would and it's one of the best comic book adaptation films ever (not saying it is some great movie overall though.)

 

Obviously grain of salt with anything DeuxMoi but hmmmm

 

Rooney Mara would've been perfect, but also I haven't watched Gucci yet, so I will withold my judgement on Gaga.

 

yuck to a sequel, maybe gaga would bring some self-awareness to it though
