Even as a young naive movie nerd back in the day the major film festivals always struck me as extremely pretentious self-congratulatory circle jerks.

I feel like even the negative reviews I've seen of this have said the movie is structurally sound and well made (though I disagree with the fact that potential niche fan reactions should influence their reviews of the film, but what can you do?)

Baseline: you all have strong opinions about a film you’ve all never seen. I wouldn’t stress TOO much about that.

 

It’s really horrible how little problem he has operating in Europe as if everything is completely normal.
