"cliffjumper" is stunning imo

 

as i expected this is more of a followup to vs everything than the last one was (which seemed like a lost followup to grace). these songs go strange places

 

the ending to "if you cant be awesome....", holy fuck. the horns sections on this are incredible. This whole album just feels like a celebration of the band's career.

Pretty much blown away with everything on it, but yeah.... cliffjumper is something else.

 

could weep at the guitar tone in the verses of "don't just don't"

 

i pardon all my hyperbolic statements in this thread, but after my 2nd listen its confirmed...."our lifestyles incandescents" is the best song i've ever heard.

 

okay so only three songs in but quality seems fine to me

more importantly, it's fucking goooood

been listening to this pretty much non stop this past week. Still pretty much too overwhelmed with emotions while listening to it too even start to even form any non-hyperbolic thoughts about it. Will easily become my AOTY (unless los campesinos release their album this year).

anyways the artwork for the track "into the veldt" might just be my favourite thing ever.

 

yeah every song on this is perfect

 

idk if i'll ever like it more than vs. everything but it's easily their second best

 

still waiting on better quality before i listen again
