I really dig this. Someone nailed it with the "dreamier version of War of my Life"....I can't put my finger on it exactly but i get a little Don Henley vibe? Is that a ludicrous comparison??? Haha Was definitely expecting a bluesier, guitar based song based on how he's framed the creation of this album and the countless vids of him shredding over the last year or so. But this is a jam.
I dig this. Was also expecting something more blues-y but I'm hoping some of the album is more like that.
Immediately played it again after hearing it for the first time, something I didn't do with Paper Doll The man's back
Love the song. Sounds like a return to the John I used to love. I don't think I've even listened to Paradise Valley aside from a few songs.
I know a lot of people didn't enjoy his folk/country phase, but I can't imagine not loving Born and Raised.

So stoked. Planning a wedding this year so I've had to cut back on concerts, but this is one I absolutely cannot miss.
I saw this the other day and I am soooooo excited to see what he does for the rest of the album he's working on!
The man had a Prince guitar just show up at the studio when he was making "New light" …of course this album is going to be totally different. Everyone needs a little Prince 80's vibe now and then.
