I like a few of those, but I absolutely love "Only Heart." A good song that becomes tremendous because of how perfectly sequenced Heavier Things is.
Daughters x10 JK but it's probably majority of John Mayer Trio live / Continuum wish he'd lean more jammier on new releases. do love me some Sob Rock.
I'm not a big fan of Daughters either tbh so that album takes a huge dip for me between Split Screen Sadness and Wheel. I think that's probably his most inconsistent record for me, it's just all over the place.
In chronological order: 1. Clarity 2. Good Love Is On The Way 3. Waiting on the World to Change 4. Belief 5. Vultures 6. Who Says (a truly incredible vibe with those brush strokes) 7. Queen of California 8. Wildfire (final minute is heaven) 9. Dear Marie 10. Roll It On Home
Never seen the video, but definitely have the song in my iTunes (old school). Was released on a live Chris Botti album in 2009.
I remember watching this live and it blew me away. I had never heard that Sinatra song before and it instantly became one of my all time favorite songs. So good.
I'm at the stage where my desire for him to release some good music far outweighs my love of his self-awareness.
I think I remember him saying not too long ago that he has a new album ready to go but won’t release it until he wants to tour again and currently he’s burnt out on touring
Yeah this was him talking about new music in August. I feel like it will probably be late 2026/early 2027 since he wants to take a breather. “I have enough songs that I could put a record out right now”: John Mayer reveals where things stand with his next album – and why he's not rushing the process “I have enough songs that I could put a record out right now,” he clarifies. “But if I put a record out right now, I would want to go on the road, and I just want to take a minute and practice this newfound going with the flow.”
Which is probably why he never released "In The Neighborhood" that he was playing at those 2023 acoustic shows
