Everyone should listen to the full Zane Low interview if it gets posted it was great. But yeah based on that it seems like he's not really concerned with making hit records, just doing him these days
Not bad! But yeah, that friend zone line is bad. I actually liked Search For Everything. Really loved Love On the Weekend. But I admittedly have never listened to a John Mayer album.
Quoting you to say that I envy that you get to experience hearing something like Continuum, Heavier Things, or Born & Raised for the time, should you choose to play either of those albums. You're in for a treat and a half
Thank you! I will absolutely get on this. I know that feeling. There are so many albums that I would kill to hear for the first time again.
Ok I'm actually fully in love with this song now. It's got almost a disco vibe in how it just kind of keeps rolling. I find it impossible not to move along to it. It reminds me of High Horse by Kacey Musgraves, and I now realize how bad I want them to tour together.
This bunch of songs has grown on me even if its still weak as an album. Once I got over the idea of what TSFE was "supposed" to be (took about a year lol), there's a lot of good stuff here, even if it doesn't stand with his absolute best music. This collection and Paradise Valley become much more enjoyable when I treat them as hard drive idea clearing instead of "eras in his artistic journey" or whatever.
I like TSFE a lot. Perhaps not as many standouts as other albums, but he’s righted that ship with New Light.
