The Arkells are fun.

 

The Chicago lineup for that Frank tour is sweet, but nothing compared to John opening. That must be huge for Frank though.

Album is officially out! How's it holding up for everyone after a week of listening?

Besides the first listen stand-outs, which for me were 17th Street, Looky Lous into Alpha and Virtute (of course), I'm really enjoying Winter Wheat and Requests on these later rotations.

I really hope he makes a Calgary stop on his way back east from Vancouver in February, or better yet, actually make the stop in Canmore like some artists tend to. (Frank stopped by last year actually, insane show.)

 

Yeah, Requests might be my favorite.

This album is so dense though, it's gonna take awhile to digest.

 

Winter Wheat, Virtute at Rest, Postdoc Blues, and Requests are my favorites. I don't want to do a ranking because listing something at 12th or 13th has an implication that I think it's not necessarily good. Really it's just Looky Lou and Alpha Adept that I dislike.

 

A one bar wifi kind of town

 

The chorus of "Fellow Traveler" is so catchy. It's been in my head all week.

 

I can get not liking looky lou, but why don't you like alpha adept?

 

It only works with Looky Lou

 

Hm, I disagree. I think it stands alone pretty well

 

It's great alone.
