Full album is now available everywhere.

I really love it. He posted it to Patreon members earlier this week so been spinning it all week.

This is so good. Gives me Absent Sounds vibes.

  7. This rules. Pairs very nicely with the Dides record he did last year.

“Shuffle Around,” came about one night in Vann’s old Harlem apartment shortly after lockdown was enforced. Vann switched a mic on and let it roll. The rest of the record followed that track, and was completed in two weeks. The recording setup was simple: “It was just me and my dog Bess laying down by my side,” says Vann.

Brilliant album. Prefer it to the last FIL actually.

FIL is one of my favorites why is he releasing music under these different names if FIL is already just him?

He has said that the last FIL album was mostly just him doing it all but he kept the same name anyway.

But he also said he felt like he approached this album differently than he did a FIL album. And the songs were written very stripped down compared to how he would do a FIL.

So I'm sure it's a mixture of that and that maybe there was other members of FIL that would be upset if he released an album without any of their input? This last part is a total guess on my part as I don't know which members of FIL have been around for the duration of the band.

Live set for the album comes out next week (I think) Patreon people got it today. It's pretty great!

Justin Stanphill (From Indian Lakes) does the Guitar, Synth on it.
