Oh, man. Love Joanna. I have to say that Divers isn't anywhere near Ys or HOOM, but those albums are untouchable. It's still really enjoyable and I hope we get another album soon.

 

Haven't listened to her as much as I'd like, sucks her music isn't on Spotify

I have Ys on vinyl though, that rules

such an amazing album

 

love the country influence in some of the tracks

makes me wish she would explore that on a whole album

 

Divers has attained classic status for me, staggering record

 

I really think it deserved more attention when it came out. It might not have matched the ambition of the past two albums, but it has a great cohesive feeling and I really dig the country influence, too.

 

I've listened to Divers a ton this year, what a phenomenal record.

 

I want new music.

I put on Joanna Newsom at work after I posted that and a customer IMMEDIATELY complained that she sounded like Mary Poppins (?) and that they didn’t like it.

If you’re ever in Needham, Massachusetts, burn it down because this town sucks. I need a new job.

 

She announced a handful of shows for September/October, so maybe she’s working on something!!

 

There are like 40 albums out this year that are incredible but I just discovered Have One On Me and can't stop playing it

 

One of my all time favorites!

 

I’ve been listening to it non stop this week too, might end up my #1 of the decade

 

Definitely a top 5 of the decade for me. Absolute masterpiece.

 

It is my album of the decade, no question.

 

I love Divers and Ys but have so far missed HOOM. Really need to correct it soon.
