There's like five song from the album in that article. I don't think Nandi and Holy Child were out before.
I know, I just know some people like to download it. People who still use iPods. Like me. And no one else!
I'm waiting for next Friday bc lots of albums to catch up on and NPR streams sound like butttt to me.
its exhausting in the best way i felt like i had run a marathon after listening and i was just driving my car
For real, this album is a physical experience that I've not known before. This, along with Arca, is an album that is completely new and alien to me. Future music bb.
It has also just dawned on me how fitting the artwork is for this industrial jungle vibe that album gives off. I imagine this album taking place in an abandoned power plant over run with mechanical jungle creatures.
i cant remember the last time i heard an album that was pretty much a new genre of music. i mean, this sounds unlike anything else thats ever been made. it feels like a brand new sound. there are hardly any signifiers of music that came before it outside of the few times the footwork influences rears its head but even then thats few and far between and when it does happen she takes the concept of footwork and runs it through the grinder and spits out something that's completely new. i cant remember the last time i heard an album and felt like i was listening to a new style of music being born.
