haha okay I didn't think you were my age. And I was very certain I was in eighth grade when that song came out because I won the CD at school ha. My long term memory isn't the best, but I think it was during Mardi Gras. Anyhow it was really weird game where you took a bite out of a cake (?I think??) and whoever it was that had some type of little plastic toy in their cake, they won the prize. I can't remember for the life of me what that was.
I'm 22 right now, and was only in the 4th(?) grade when Futures came out, but I've been listening to that, BA, and Clarity since then because one of my uncles gave me a mini disk player with those three albums. When I was in just the 4th grade I had like every word memorized to those albums. And it's funny when I see kids that age, because they're so little. To think when I was that age I was rocking so hard to JEW haha
I'm probably on the younger side of users in this forum, but my mom would always play Bleed American in the car when I was young (4-6). The Middle is one of the first songs I can actually remember hearing. Good times.
I had just turned 15 and started 9th grade when Futures came out. made for a great addition to my high school soundtrack. Also Sweetness > The Middle in my opinion.
I just turned 27 in June and got into JEW when BA came out and my older brother bought it. I then went and bought Clarity with my paper route money and have been hooked ever since.
TIL that @CoffeeEyes17 and I were born in the same month of the same year! Futures came out as we were starting 6th grade, then. Also Sweetness is a marvelous song. Also The Middle is whatever.
I was a few months past college graduation and somehow just going through the first big breakup of my life. Needless to say, that album hit me like a ton of bricks.
