Bleed American is perfect. I wanna ask you guys which JEW B-side is your favorite? I adore Be Sensible
My favorite b-side is Shame or When I Want. I haven't really did any digging into their b-sides and rarities though so I should def get to that sometime.
Hard to pick because I love so many of their b sides. Chase This Light is one of my favorite JEW albums and also features some of my favorite b sides, "Be Sensible" and "Beautiful Is" in particular. I've also been particularly fond of Anais and the Anais demo version from Invented.
No Sensitivity would be mine, but there are a handful that I really love: What I Would Say To You Now, When I Want, Be Sensible, Open Bar Reception. You could probably make a really good album out of just JEW b-sides.
Though interestingly, I chose "Open Bar Reception" over those two when @CoffeeEyes17 and I ranked our top 30 JEW songs last fall.
See I forgot about the cover of "Take 'Em As They Come" and I also love that one. Too many good ones to choose from.
Shame is the only b-side I really know, since it came on my Futures vinyl. I guess I like a couple of the alternate version tracks, and the We are Never Getting Back Together cover is still really fun.
This has nothing to do with JEW, but your reviews were always my favorite on AP so I'm glad you transferred over to the new site.
This band's talent for writing album openers is unlike no other. They make phenomenal album closers, too. Because of these two qualities, I'm always wanting to start listening to a JEW record and once it's over, I'm left with a good vibe and more likely to revisit them in the future. They're such a wonderful band.
Noooooooooooooooooooo I think Be Sensible is my #1. I also really love What I Would Say To You Now, though. Hearing that at Clarity x10 was so awesome. (Firestarter is the best cover.)
I just saw the new Taylor Swift x Apple Music ad where she's singing The Middle... I'm probably in the minority here but she's so oversaturated at the moment lol.
