So bummed to be missing Boston tomorrow. Buuuut it’s also Providence Pride which is always so much damn fun. The gays call and I simply must answer.
I’ve always had the (definitely incorrect) opinion that Cautioners should lead into My Sundown because the two work incredibly well as companion tracks and Authority Song breaks the pacing for me. But man… singing Authority will my full chest and looking around and seeing everyone do the same was truly something special. Might’ve just been my corner of the venue but I swear it was the second best received song of the album besides The Middle. They were going absolutely crazy for it, even more than Sweetness
I don't know how to explain it, but I think people in here will find Olivia Rodrigo's new album very enjoyable. The Cure and Cigarette Smoke especially!
Been looking forward to this since they announced the very first few Bleed shows and it lived up to everything I could have hoped for. I’m sure this is old news to those here who’ve seen them more recently than I have, but it’s unbelievable how good Jim’s voice sounds. Setlist was perfect* and it was interesting to see what got the biggest reactions. Not my absolute favorite crowd I’ve seen a show alongside, got stuck next to a real obnoxious guy for a while then some real yappers for the back half of the record, but neither of those things could ruin a basically perfect couple hours. *No No Sensitivity feels like a miss to me, but Splash Turn Twist was a really nice surprise. I can only imagine they didn’t think the crowd would be along for two bsides, but I always thought it was one of their more beloved songs.
Yeah, the crowd was just about what I’d expect for a Bleed American tour. Though, I will say, I was next to some kids that seemed to be in their early 20s so it made me happy that their music is still reaching that generation. One of them lost their minds at Pain lol
Great show! Crowd was better than I expected..still had a few people near us who were only there to hear the middle
shameless plug here, I wrote an essay about the Red Rocks show a few weeks back. feel free to give it a read: "Stick around, nostalgia won't let you down": Jimmy Eat World at Red Rocks, 06/09/2026
This has been discussed before and it will be again, but I just saw that Bayside is releasing some b-sides and it made me think about how jew has one of the best collections of b-sides out there and they have the potential for making such a cool release(s) with them.
