Unlikely but I really hope they get a couple of the B-sides from that era in the set. "No Sensitivity" and "Splash Turn Twist" would be so cool to see live.
we are probably not going to the Chicago date in a few weeks so before I use my ticket insurance on them I'd thought I post here if anyone is interested in two tickets
Where are my Jimmy Eat World/Knicks fans who are having to potentially sell their tickets for the Brooklyn Paramount show since it is Game 6 of the NBA finals
I am very glad I didn't buy slash can't confirm if I could go yet! Have Goose tickets for potential Game 7.....
This post is inspired by the fact that the grocery store was just playing The Middle, I was wearing my Jimmy Eat World hat, and I’m seeing them at Red Rocks in 5 days… I’m on that ADKINS diet.
It'll be me and my party's (my lovely wife, best friend from college and his girlfriend) first time there. JEW is my favorite band so I may just be a mess the entire time, on cloud nine, or a mix.
I’d recommend getting there early as you can and just soaking it all in. It truly is a special venue. The weather has finally started to warm up here in the Denver area, so with any luck next week should be perfect.
Fellow Red Rockers: Do you recommend wearing earplugs? I always wear earplugs for indoor shows (of any size) but have found amphitheaters to be pretty easy on the ears. Is Red Rocks... "harsh" at all? Never seen a rock show encased in Earth before!
Bring them just in case, but I have experienced both “I wish this was louder” and “this is too loud” at Red Rocks. especially if it’s windy, the back of the GA section probably doesn’t warrant earplugs.
Appreciate it! Currently packing for the Denver trip (Saturday-Wednesday) and the plugs are coming with. Good looking out with the back of the GA callout. For a rock show, is there a section of GA that you'd recommend for an optimized experience and/or section to avoid?
No, it’s all pretty good! Agreed with above, the earlier you can get there, the closer you will be! There are no bad sight lines though, the back of the venue is just very far from the stage haha.
Interested in the BA walkthrough but hoping they did more than that! Would be fun to hear some new recordings.
Going to have to try and remember to watch / listen to these when they release. Wish it was a podcast.
My thoughts: - I love that they show the song's demo. - I love that they go through the stems. (That growl vocal?!?) - I love that they don't shy away from talking too nerdy/inside baseball. - 10 minutes isn't even close to long enough! They barely scratched the surface.
