Went down a JEW YouTube rabbit hole tonight and was reminded of the Tempe Sessions filmed in their Phoenix studio (?). Wish Electable got more love and was played live. Hits pretty hard in 2026.

 

tbf it is extremely extremely rare for a band to be together this long and have zero line up changes. literally the only other one that comes to mind is thrice

 

Only ones I can think of from the top of my head is Radiohead. And probably U2.

 

I keep getting random demos and bonus tracks in my recommended. Their cover of Radiohead's "Stop Whispering" is actually amazing.

 

it really is, and Radiohead pretty much tried their best to break up every other year or so for the last 30 years.

Idk how many Canadians we have but I'm trying to get my hands on 2 GA tickets for their show with PUP in toronto. Making it a lil late bday trip and if I'm gonna do all that I'm not sitting in the stands or lawn!!

Honestly most of my favorite bands have been the same lineup the whole time

 

The Rolling Stones had the same lineup for almost 50 years

 

The Strokes until very recently lol

 

Nick is still in the band, just a temporary touring break, doesn’t count imo

 

jimmy eat world IS the pop rock rolling stones so

 

Even down to the gap between releases in their 4th decade

 

So excited to see Jimmy live. Going with my family, who are all very casual fans. Can't wait for them all to become mega-fans.

Has it ever been discussed how much his band Rival Schools sounds like early Jimmy Eat World?

Especially this album -

 

Played drums along to all of Bleed American on Sunday. Can’t wait to see it at Red Rocks in TWO WEEKS.
