I just realized All the Way (Stay) has a Jen callback, "we could do anything you want". How have I never noticed this lol
Best Friends Forever was wild. This band always sounds great, but this set felt so special. (I also guessed we wouldn’t get anything post-Futures, and was kind of surprised that I was right.) Some folks are salty that they still played The Middle but seeing the younger folks in the crowd go off to it was worth it.
The Middle was one of the first songs I ever loved. I saw so many people having the time of their life when they preformed it a couple years ago. Great song.
Absolutely. Like I would’ve loved to hear Fireworks, but this set was more than worth a trip across the country.
Electable is forever underrated. Really fun song to warm up to on the drums. Would love to see that one live some day.
okay they were great at Furnace Fest but seeing this setlist makes me real bitter that we didn't get this set instead.
In honor of Surviving turning 6, here’s my ranking of track 6’s: Hear You Me Crush All The Way Episode IV Pain Get Right Coffee and Cigarettes Gotta Be Somebody’s Blues Please Say No
I gotta know which ones. Delivery and Recommit are my faves. Idk if they’re making my top 10, but they might be close.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who compares track numbers within a band's discography, outside of the obvious opening/closing tracks
My Track 6s: Crush Hear You Me Gotta Be Somebody’s Blues Get Right Pain Please Say No Episode IV Coffee and Cigarettes All The Way
I’m on some 5-dimensional shit with this. Not only do I do it for each track 1-12 on most releases, I do it for suites, I do it for “best middle of album track,” (must be an odd number!) “best three song stretch,” “best second to last track” (since every album is a different length and track listing), best instrumental, best interlude, and way more. Best same named song pairings “Better Off Dead” by Bad Religon and NFG, You’re Not Alone” by Saosin and Home Grown, etc) best songs in certain key signatures (so I always know what I could easily play in D major, etc). Then I compare by year, by genre, and my overall. I have 844 playlists. It’s a disorder. But it keeps me alive and makes me happy.
