My holy grail "b-side" is the demo version of Lean. It's on ASCAP/BMI so it exists but I'm not sure it ever made its way onto physical media. Would anyone here know anything?
I recently had the thought that, had they stuck to their every three years pattern, we’d be anticipating our second new Jimmy album since Surviving.
For the next album I wonder what kind of sound they will chase? This light drought of new music is making us all anxious for the next release
They've recently implied in interviews that they're going for a relatively simple sound, and even laughed at how complex their earlier music was. How they're going to differentiate that from BA and Surviving is the interesting part. With that being said, they haven't even formally started recording the album so who knows
Based on the roll out for Surviving, I think k we have a little more to wait until the official announcement.
The fact they almost never play anything live from Invented these days is a bummer…I’ve grown to really love that album. I play it more often than most of their others lately. Speaking of b-sides, I love Anais from the Invented sessions.
Invented is probably my favorite post-Futures album of theirs, and i LOVE Anais. i bought the deluxe edition CD on release day, so i’ve been jamming it since day one!
