Sad but true

 

Get Right isn't my favorite song to hear live but they could play Baha Men covers for an hour and I'd be stoked to see them.

 

Get Right is a solid single but it's definitely at the bottom of Integrity Blues for me, it's just such a strong album

 

Integrity Blues is such an artsy fartsy album and I'm all for it. WHAT AN ALBUM.

 

Wish I liked it as much as I used to. It’s fallen pretty far down the rankings for me unfortunately

 

IB is very easily my favorite of the albums after Futures

 

I forgot to watch this during the livestream and I don't think it's watchable now on rewind. does anyone know of any links I could find for the full set?

 

I’m sure this has been mentioned sometime in the past 600 pages, but man, Polaris is a great song.

I’m going to one of the small club shows next month and I really hope I get to hear it.

For anyone interested, I recently had Derek of Mayday Parade on my podcast and that episode came out a few days ago.

I bring it up here specifically because at one point we talk a little bit about his favourite Jimmy Eat World album. If you skip to the 31:35 mark, the Jimmy Eat World chat begins shortly after that.

 

Nice to see them get added to the LA date but not really sure why Coachella was the hold up. I doubt there was that many fans that would only pick one.

This “take” also may have been posted before: but Just Watch The Fireworks into For Me This Is Heaven is diabolical.

In a way, I’m kind of glad I didn’t listen to Clarity until I was an adult. Because I don’t know how sad teens in 1999 could handle that one-two punch of pure emotion.

 

I can tell you I did not handle it well.

 

Been a while since I’ve spun Clarity, need it for my soul. Maybe I’ll throw it on tomorrow

 

I recommend a Static Prevails/Clarity double feature.

Entered to win tickets to see the boys in Milwaukee next Friday. Got an email from the venue that I did NOT win, but then they gave me a password to enter on their site to be put on the Will Call Guest List with a +1. Did it and now my wife and I are going. Squeaky wheel gets the grease!

Ballroom! Ice Nine Kills are also playing in the building that night - I believe they have The Rave.

Shoutout to Robin's exquisite background vocals in the "Drugs Or Me" bridge. Heartbreakingly beautiful.

 

So stoked for the show tonight. Saw them for the first time on their summer tour with Manchester two years ago—can't wait to take in their performance in a smaller space.

 

Update: they delivered. Would have loved to hear a few cuts off Invented, Damage, or Integrity Blues, but they were all excluded from the set. Still a great performance, despite a pair of folks being ejected about halfway through.
