Been revisiting this band’s discography lately, some of which I haven’t listened to since 2019, and it’s been a fun time so far. Really interested to see how I feel about their material from Chase This Light to present day

 

I was initially underwhelmed with Surviving as a follow-up to Integrity Blues, but I've really grown to love it over time.

 

Not sure if it's been posted here but they are currently tracking for the new album per Zach's IG story a couple weeks ago

 

“Cut”, “Invented” and “Mixtape” are three of their best songs and they’re all grouped together at the end of Invented. Never understood the hate for that album, might be my favourite Jimmy record

 

Invented grew on me a lot over the years. Really clicked with me around 2016.

I only own 4 Jimmy Eat World albums on vinyl and Invented is one of them.

Futures, Chase This Light, Invented, and Integrity Blues.

 

Just registered this band’s discography recently and Invented grew on me the most. Really good album, aside from Higher Devotion

 

throw Littlething in there, baby you got a stew goin'

 

Littlething is the best song on the album. Shout out to Movielike and the title track as well

 

Is there "hate" for Invented? Feels like a pretty well-loved album, at least around these parts.

 

If anything, Damage is the album that is least-preferred, for lack of a better phrase, I'd guess around here.

 

I’ve got lots of love for Damage. Invented does nothing for me outside of maybe 3-4 songs

Ive probably listened to Damage like 4 times. I like to just pretend that it doesnt exist.

 

I firmly believe that if Jimmy Eat World did with Damage what The Gaslight Anthem did with History Books and released a remixed version of it tomorrow, it would finally get its due as a great album.

 

Dammit, now I want them to do that so bad.

 

I don't think the songs on Damage are very good, production aside
