THEY FUCKING PLAYED GOODBYE SKY HARBOR AGAIN I NEVER THOUGHT I'D HEAR IT LIVE AND TONIGHT WAS THE SECOND TIME FUCKING HELL
Been listening to Invented a lot lately, perfect for this time of year. This album will always mean a lot to me. I wish the title track would get played live again, but I get that it's long and would eat up a lot of real estate on the set list.
I feel like so much music from their breakout era doesn't hold up for me, but JEW is absolutely timeless, and I'm finding new meaning in songs I've loved for over 20 years. On any given day of the week I'd call them my favorite band ever and I don't think that is ever going to change.
So stoked you all got to see this! I still haven't but won't give up hope. The first time I went to Phoenix was in 2022, & I was giddy just to fly into the fucking Sky Harbor airport haha This is a great setlist, I'm jealous/excited for everyone getting to see this!
In Glasgow, it did feel that you'd had that absolute hit after hit of the last 4-5 songs and then it was a bit of a lull for the general crowd on the encore. Two strange song choices for the general JEW fans but as a Futures is their best album stan then I was buzzing.
Could've been two songs they would've had in their regular setlist but cut for potential time concerns- then played when they found they had extra time.
