20 years on, and still an all-timer for me. These songs still give me the same feeling they did back then and transport me back in time, especially when the leaves are starting to turn and there’s that fall chill in the are. And, as much as I love 23, my top 5 tracks from this album are: Futures Kill The World You Love Polaris Night Drive
at some point, i will breakdown and buy the 3 phoenix sessions vinyl bundle. planned on it today, but remembered the delay in futures.
Seeing them in just over 2 weeks for the first time since the Futures era. Hoping the setlist isn't too weighted towards Bleed American.
“If You Don’t, Don’t” might be the best bridge/solo combo in the entire bands catalog, which sounds INSANE until you listen to it a thousand times and every single time it sounds more brilliant than the last.
If they release in 2025, we can just say that 2022 was a covid year and the Phoenix Sessions hold that year in place of a new album. I know it was 2021, but I don’t care. The three year cycle resumes in 2025 haha
I know we are getting old when the bands we grow up with start releasing new albums every 4-6 years or more, 2019 doesn't even feel like that long ago.
My Wednesday evening went a little like this: priced out of return flight from Glasgow. See resale ticket to Manchester. List ticket for Glasgow, buy ticket for Manchester, sell ticket for Glasgow. All within 20 minutes, which is to say I'm seeing them play to three and a half thousand people in 4 days???
