Pol Roger is really great.

I saw the bio about this album say people have compared it to late Deathcab and Silversun Pickups and I can see that

 

I hear Collective Soul's Run in the solo and I have to wonder if that was intentional.

I've always loved Integrity Blues but it's having a real second wind for me these past few weeks.

It’s the production on IB for me - we went from the crunchier vibe of Damage (which sounded like a sendoff of an album to me, didn’t think we’d get another) to the opening guitar strums of You With Me that sounds like it was recorded in a canyon - just perfection

 

that’s that JMJ magic

 

I am totally cool with the JMJ/JEW collaborations. The production is gargantuan and has tons of depth.

 

Gonna do a shuffle setlist to see what we can get for a 15 song set and 3 song encore.

Ten would be such a weird final song

 

Gonna be a heathen and say I don’t love the JMJ treatment on Surviving. Guitars are a little canned for me, drums are a little dry, and the opening of 555 sounds like GarageBand.

 

lol yeah...Get It Faster kinda works as the opener because of the slow build tho!

 

GarageBand has done untold harm to the ears of listeners because that’s a vintage drum machine sound through and through smh

 

Haha but the synth sound?

 

classic analog synth I mean that’s what GarageBand modeled their pre sets after and now people conflate them

 

Alright but I’m not crazy that the guitars are all Kemper models, yes?

 

“Evidence” came on via Sum 41 Spotify radio (L O L) and I wanted to run through a fucking wall during the bridge. God DAMN what a song.
