Anything else recent in that vein that I've missed? Huh, never heard of any of those, but I'll dive in. thanks for the recs!
Failing, yeah. It's...raw. Haha. That one is definitely not perfect or anything. The remaster is the version you should be listening to IMO, and it hits harder with lyrics. ES legitimately sounds like it could be a different band to me. Lots of slowcore influence in that one
Also, I've really liked Diary from the handful of listens I've given it so I think I'll make time for some SDRE for me this week. Diving into discographies from SDRE, The Appleseed Cast, and Mineral will be fun this week
Anytime haha. This was all I listened to for a super long time haha. I'd suggest, as far as recent stuff goes, adventures, Annabel, dowsing, and football etc
Other people say so, I disagree. I also never was able to get into them the way everyone else seems to :(
I think I liked the last Adventures album ok, didn't like the Annabel album last year. What would you call Pity Sex? I'm horrible with genre designations.
I didn't like the first album (but going to revisit it soon) but Dealer was like #3 for me last year, it's fantastic
Fair enough I'd say they're like dream pop/ shoe gaze? I wouldn't really call them emo. Another band I wish I liked more ha
Dealers more indie than emo but it definitely has some of the symptoms of an emo album. Their first is more emo though
Generally, yes, and it's one of my favorites of the genre and of all time along with PBTT's Keep You.
The couple songs on dealer that I like I really really love. The rest I could take or leave We are actually the same person
Oh okay, i like that genre a lot more then haha. Pity Sex, Beach House, Nothing, all bands that have put out releases I really like
And that's mostly stuff I can't get into haha. Been meaning to revisit beach house. I liked that last album - depression cherry? - but only listened once or twice. I love cloakroom and older shoe gaze tho Weave, Magdalene (I think), and Indica
