Let's bring it home, baby! Final Four: (7) Jimmy Eat World - Futures vs. (27) Weezer - Weezer (The Blue Album) • forum.chorus.fm
Yeah. A bit bummed about the lack of 23 this tour. But it does mean my wife and I are about 100% less likely to cry seeing them this tour. Also, it's weird to live in a world where a single as effortlessly catchy as Always Be is somehow no longer included in sets. I will forever take it weirdly personal that Chase This Light didn't perform better with mainstream audiences.
Some Monday Morning chaos for you: Clarity Futures Bleed American Chase This Light Integrity Blues Invented Surviving Damage Static Prevails Self-Titled
I’ve said it before but invented dropped at the beginning of my senior year of high school and the coming of age themes really connected with me so it’s one of my favorite albums ever
Title track and a few others are great. Definitely towards the bottom of the discography but thats not an insult with this band.
I don't love invented but I do think of it fondly— I remember listening to it on cold dewy mornings on the bus ride to school, which is the ideal way to listen to it imo
Invented has Heart Is Hard to Find, Evidence, Movielike, Littlething, Invented, and Mixtape which are all really fantastic songs. As a whole album, though, I can see how people might say it's worse than the others. As far as I know, it's the only JEW album where it's noticeable that Jim's lyrics are in fictional POVs.
id add Stop, Cut, Coffee and Cigarettes, and even my best theory to those which is almost the entire album. higher devotion and action needs an audience are the only ones that just dont really do it for me
i do not like that tune at all, would probably be in my bottom 10 JEW songs outside of the self-titled
Yeah not a big fan of that one or Cut either. Stop and My Best Theory are pretty good IMO. I will say My Best Theory is an underrated first single of theirs.
Not sure I'd argue "Coffee and Cigarettes" is the best song on Invented, but it's certainly my favorite.
