even with that - there have been 6 albums and 2 EPs since Jake started working with them and four of those releases are without Jake and Suzy lol
legitimately a great pop single. even on their worst albums, they still had one or two great tunes which is about all you can ask for from a band that's been around as long as them. memories rips.
i just noticed that PVRIS is opening for the boys on a friday show in phoenix. and there's still pit tickets available. i just might try to make this happen.
"What I Would Say to You Now" not being on the list is offensive, to say the least, but mostly everything else I agree with.
lists like this are always tough, as "deep cut" is so subjective. i can't really imagine any JEW fan thinking "23" is a deep cut, hah. feel like you could swap it out for the title track off Invented and i'd be satisfied
Yeah, "23" feels wrong as a deep cut and "Criminal Energy" was a single. I'd swap those out for "The World You Love" and "Diamond" and trade "Claire" for "How'd You Have Me."
i could be misremembering but i recently listened to a Washed Up Emo episode, the Futures one with Zach Lind, and he even mentioned that 23 is one of the tracks that has the most response from the audience. either that or Pain. regardless, def not a deep cut
if setlist.fm is to be taken as truth, and i see no reason as to why it wouldn't, it's their 12th most played song and pretty close to an every show guarantee haha. definitely a fan-fave.
Yeah I definitely do not consider 23 a deep cut. That has to have gotten the most run from that album behind Futures, Work, and Pain.
"Dizzy" is probably their most overrated song. I'm gonna go listen to FOAM by Green Day now. BYEEEEEEE!
In addition if it’s to be believed, they’ve never played “Pol Roger” or “Mixtape” live?? Replacing “23” with literally any of their closers that aren’t that song or “Goodbye Sky Harbor” would be a better deep cut choice
