This new, non-album music release schedule seems like the perfect scenario for them to unload some of those Surviving b-sides we've been (im)patiently waiting for...
Hahahaha….yep. Except Jim did clarify only one song was a proper finished bside I believe. Still want it though….and maybe those other pieces find their way into songs for these singles.
Failure was added to their ASCAP/BMI fairly recently so.. maybe there's hope? Idk. They add a lot of things to it, even the theme for the Pass Through Frequencies podcast (titled "Flying on By") so it could mean nothing!
Is the proper finished song he referred to that one from the YouTube video one of the sound engineers posted online...?
David asked during his interview a couple months ago about the Surviving Bsides (thanks again!). Even though the band said they worked on like 15 songs during the sessions in interviews, seems like only one was properly finished. Since the engineer talked that one bside, I’m guessing it’s the the one done and finished (that Jim also referred to). Excited for Al things Jimmy. This fanbase is nice a positive and and I think we’re all ready for any new material. Love how quickly people post updates too.
Personally hate the model of just releasing singles with no album…actually one of my biggest pet peeves of music release…that and remixes (looking at you Coldplay)
I can't recall what the vibe was in here when they released Love Never & Half Heart without announcing an album... does anyone recall? Those 2 were released in May 2018, & Surviving wasn't announced until September 2019, then released a month later. The point I'm trying to get at, is a full length could potentially still be coming in the near future for all we know
I’d rather albums or at least EP’s as a collection, but I’d take some singles over nothing. New is new.
Friends, please support an album in need so we can "ruin the reputation of the website" or whatever @phaynes12 thinks a JEW album beating Nevermind would do. Round of 32: (4) Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American vs. (29) Nirvana - Nevermind • forum.chorus.fm
