I never listened to JEW aside from one or two tracks here and there til Damage. Damage is underrated imo but obviously I'm biased. It's hard to pick my favorite album most times but their best song is Dizzy by a wide margin

 

Listening to Integrity Blues today ... man, I really do love this album. Only has grown on me.

Jimmy Eat World does not have a single bad album. They just have some that are better than others.

 

I've held off on ranking out of fear but I'm feeling brave today!

You know, I would always scratch my head when I'd see Damage ranked highly. I always have that in my head as being their only "bad" album. But I just listened to it this morning for the first time in 5 years, and it's definitely better than I remembered! I still think I'd rank it low though, definitely above Static Prevails and maybe on par with Invented.

Really looking at the lyrics of the new song and trying to put together the bits of my mind that were blown up because its absolutely lining up with how I feel atm and how my musical journey has progressed

I love this band

 

passing through to say my best theory is one of the best songs of all time, ok bye

 

It's good but I liked it better when it was titled "Gone Away" and performed by The Offspring.

Listen to them both, "My Best Theory"'s chord progression and melody are similar.

 

Don't really hear the melody part, but the chord progression sure, though there are any number of pairs of songs where you can find that. The main identifying features of each song (the main riff in MBT and the drum intro and lyrical content of GA) are so vastly different that they're not really comparable in my mind.

 

I never though I would hear "better" and "The Offspring" together. Although, Ixnay is their best album in my opinion.

Never listened to the first two. Great band, very important to me through college, but I do think there's a slight decline in consistency starting with Damage (which again, I actually love).

We line up prettttttty well. And yes, Stay On My Side Tonight deserves to be right where you put it, I'll forever wish we had a full album of that but alas

 

You Are Free just came on shuffle and what a song. Easily could have been on Futures.

I like Damage more than Invented and CTL. Maybe it also due to hitting extra personally at the time but I still connected with it a lot.
